ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR RED & YELLOW BURSARIES
To be eligible for the Red & Yellow Bursaries, applicants must meet some basic requirements. All candidates must meet the requirements for the bursary for the programme they are applying for. Below are the requirements for each programme:
Bachelor of Arts (Visual Communication) Bursary
- Applicants must have completed Matric
- You must have received a degree endorsement or Bachelor’s pass on your National Senior Certificate
- Visual Art and/or Design as a subject (not compulsory but added advantage)
Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) Bursary
- Applicants must have completed Matric
- Received a degree endorsement or Bachelor’s pass on your National Senior Certificate
- Achieved a minimum Admission Point Score (APS) of 26
- Applicants with a minimum APS of 4 for English
- Applicants with a minimum APS of 4 for Mathematics (equal to 50%) or Mathematics Literacy (at least 65%)
- A minimum APS of 4 for another recognised language
- You must have achieved a minimum APS of 4 for 2 other subjects
- Achieved a minimum APS of 3 for the rest of your subject
Note: Life Orientation is not considered as part of the APS score calculation.
Advanced Diploma in Copywriting Bursary
- You must have completed an NQF level 6 Diploma or NQF level 7 Bachelor’s Degree
Advanced Diploma Media, Advertising & Communications (MAC) Bursary
- Applicants that have completed a Diploma or Degree
Advanced Diploma in user-centred Design Bursary
- Interested applicants must have completed a Diploma or Degree
Higher Certificate in Graphic Design Bursary
- Interested applicants must have completed Matric
Higher Certificate in Creating Digital Content Bursary
- Interested applicants must have completed Matric
