The MultiChoice Bursary management is calling on all eligible South African students to apply for the ongoing scholarship. MultiChoice was founded in 1993 and it operates the DStv Satellite Television service across Sub-Saharan Africa.
This company offers 5 services which are: M-NET, which offers a satellite television subscription service; Showmax, an online video-on-demand subscription service; GOtv, a Digital terrestrial television platform; Supersport, a collection of sports channels on the DStv network and Irdeto, a digital platform security company.
This bursary is currently open for all interested applicants to apply for the MultiChoice Bursary 2022/2023. Below are the details you need to know about the bursary.
MULTICHOICE BURSARY FIELDS COVERED
The MultiChoice Bursary is available for students that are studying any of the following courses at the higher institution:
- Actuarial Science
- Applied Mathematics
- Computer Science
- Data and Information Science
- Digital Media Technologies
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronic Engineering
- Information Engineering
- Information Technology (AI & Robotics)
Any field of study outside the above is not eligible for the MultiChoice Bursary.
COVERAGE VALUE & SELECTION
MultiChioce bursary will take care of the following student expenses: student registration fees, tuition fees, accommodation and a yearly living allowance.
All successful applicants will be contacted by the bursary provider, if you did not receive any message from the bursary consider your application unsuccessful.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE MULTICHOICE BURSARY
There are eligibility requirements put in place by the management to benefit from the MultiChoice Bursary, below are the eligibility requirements applicants must meet to be eligible for the bursary:
- Applicants must be a South African citizen
- Not older than 28 years
- Must have completed Matric
- Applicants must be studying or intending to study any of the above qualifications as an undergraduate or postgraduate.
- You must be studying or registered to study at a recognised South Africa institution
- Achieved a minimum overall average of 70% in Matric, if not studying yet
- You must have achieved a minimum overall average of 65%, if currently studying at tertiary level
HOW TO APPLY FOR THE MULTICHOICE BURSARY
The MultiChoice Bursary application is done online using the link below.
Applicants will have to register before they can log in to apply on the bursary application portal. It is also compulsory for applicants to submit a clear certified copy of the following required documents to be eligible for the bursary.
Below are the bursary required documents:
- ID document
- Recent academic records like Matric certificate and academic transcript
- Proof acceptance from an accredited tertiary institution on letterhead
- Disability medical certificate, if applicable
Applicants must make sure the documents submitted must not be older than three months.
CLOSING DATE
The closing date for the MultiChoice Bursary is on 15 February 2022. Applicants must make sure they submit the application form and all required documents on or before the closing date.
