The University of South Africa (UNISA), a publicly funded institution dedicated to open and distance education, invites applications for Online Tutors (E-tutors) on an independent contract basis. This recruitment is specifically for the College of Economic and Management Sciences, under the School of Economic and Financial Sciences.

Eligibility for UNISA e Tutor Position
The basic requirements for this position are:
- Experience with teaching in an Open Distance e-Learning (ODeL) environment.
- Not being a UNISA Fixed Term or Permanent staff member.
- Ongoing access to an Internet connection at your own cost.
- Own copies of software packages that may be required for teaching, such as internet browsers and word processing.
- Willingness to undergo module-specific assessment and tutor development training.
In addition to these requirements, there are module-specific eligibility criteria based on the field of study, which include, but are not limited to:
Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, Physics, Quantitative Management, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Investments, Risk Management, and Insurance.
Please note that as an Independent Contractor, you will not be considered an employee of UNISA and will not be entitled to benefits such as medical aid, office space, equipment, or leave, as per the UNISA conditions of service. You will be responsible for providing your own infrastructure, including a computer, internet access, workspace, and any other office-related equipment.
