The Tech-Capital Bursary programme is aimed at students with disabilities that need assistance in pursuing their education. This bursary is for students with strong academic records and who has a passion for the tech industry.
Tech-Capital is a black-owned technology company according to BBBEE definitions. It is an IT company located in Centurion that s specialized in high-quality IT consultancy services. The company has recently expanded into road logistics services, Bursary administration, and MS Office training programmes.
This scholarship is mainly for Black students (Black African, Indian, Coloured), it is aimed at black students to address the Apartheid error socioeconomic inequalities. It provides support and funding for students that cannot afford to pay their academic fees.
Tech-Capital Bursary Eligibility Requirements
The Tech-Capital bursary has put some things in place to help in the selection of successful candidates. Below are the eligibility requirements
- Students studying Undergraduate Degree in an IT-related field.
- Must be a student of the University of Pretoria.
- Must be a South African student.
- Open to only designated Black South Africans.
- Applications are open to those with a disability ONLY.
- Applications are open to those who achieved an average of at least 65% for their matric results.
Bursary Coverage
The Tech-Capital Bursary Programme will provide funding for successful applicants. It will provide:
- Full tuition fees of the successful applicant.
- Full registration fees of the successful applicant.
Recipients of this bursary will have to pay for other expenses related to their education like accommodation, textbooks and travel. Successful candidates can also apply for NSFAS bursary.
