SARB Art Scholarship Eligibility
To be eligible for the Full Art Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen.
- Be younger than 35 years old.
- Have achieved an average pass mark of 65% in their current year of study.
- Demonstrate financial need, indicating an inability to afford university attendance without a scholarship.
- Be registered for one of the following qualifications in the 2024 academic year:
- Final year of a four-year undergraduate degree in Fine Arts.
- Honors degree in Fine Arts (following a three-year undergraduate degree in Fine Arts).
- Master’s degree in Fine Arts.
- One-year Advanced Diploma in Fine Arts (following a three-year undergraduate diploma in Fine Arts).
Application Procedure
To apply for this scholarship, please follow the steps outlined below:
- Visit the South African Reserve Bank careers portal.
- Complete the online application form.
- Submit the following documents in PDF format:
- Images of 6 to 8 artworks produced in 2022 and 2023.
- Academic transcripts for 2022 and 2023.
- Copy of your South African identity document.
- An essay of 250 words to motivate your application.
- Proof of acceptance at a recognized tertiary institution.
- Use the promotional code: SARB ART 24 when submitting your application.
