Application is now open for candidates that are interested in the Pyrotech Bursary 2022. The application details, required documents, bursary value and other important information are shared in this post.

The Pyrotechnical Marketing (Pty) Ltd in its endeavours to contribute to the development and growth of South Africans youth is providing a full bursary for students. Pyrotech Bursary application is currently going on and preference will be given to first years students with 70% average overall grade.

Pyrotech Bursary Value

Below are what recipients of this bursary are going to benefit from Pyrotech:

  • The bursary will cater for the full tuition and registration fees of recipients. These fees will be paid by the bursary board directly to the university
  • Recipients will receive funds of more than R 5000, 00 per annum to cater for textbooks. This will be paid to the recipient directly.
  • The accommodation fees (single room) for the bursar will be paid for the university if in the university hostel. Recipients whose permanent resident is outside the city are eligible to apply for accommodation funding. Bursar in private hostel fees will be paid as determined by Pyrotech and will be paid directly to the property owner.
  • Students will be required to pay for any repeat subjects themselves.
  • Transport Allowance will be paid directly to the bursar. Proof of address will be needed for candidates who are going to apply for transport allowance.

All payments will be made once a year. All Pyrotech bursary recipients will have to work for the company for the period they receive the funding should Pyrotech requires the applicant to.

Eligible Fields of study

Only applicants in the following field of study can apply for the bursary:

  • Information Technology and communication
  • Engineering
  • Health Professionals and related Clinical services
  • Architects, Town Planners and Surveyors
  • Business, management and economics
  • Natural and Social Science Professionals
  • Quality and Regulatory Professionals
  • Media Professionals, Artistic, Literary, Design and Graphic Design/DTP
  • Sales, Marketing and related associate Professionals
  • Sports and Fitness
  • Finance
  • Human Resources

Pyrotech Bursary Requirements

The following are the eligibility requirements students must meet to benefit from the bursary programme:

  • Applicants should be South African Resident and AA/EE candidates ONLY.
  • Applicants studying in any of the above fields
  • Must have completed MATRIC
  • Must be a student of a recognised South Africa University
  • Have a real interest in any of the above fields of study

Students studying outside the eligible field will not be considered at all. The application should be submitted based on the real interest in the field.

Fill the application form completely and attach a certified copy of the following required documents with your application form:

  • One-Page Letter Of Motivation Suggesting Why you Should Be Awarded the Bursary
  • Certified Copy Of Grade 12 Or Highest Level Of Education
  • Certified Copy Of ID
  • Proof Of Address – If You Require A Transport Allowance
  • University Acceptance Letter Or Proof Of Registration
  • Proof Of Estimated Costs Or Actual Invoices (Tuition, Accommodation, Text Books; Previous Years Quotes Will Be Accepted As Well)

If you did not get feedback in 8 weeks after submitting your application, please consider your application unsuccessful.

Closing Date

The closing date for the submission of the application form and supporting documents is 3 December 2021. No LATE applications will be accepted.
