The management of the General Electric Bursary is calling on all eligible students in the accepted field of study to apply for the ongoing bursary.
General Electric Bursary Eligible field of study
Students in any of the following fields can apply for the General Electric Bursary;
- Engineering
- Health Sciences
- Commerce
- Humanities
- Social Sciences
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements to qualify for the ongoing bursary:
- Must be a South African Citizen
- Not more than 30 years of age
- Grade 12 learners intending to study at a recognized public university
- Applicants must be studying or intending to study any of the above courses
- Intending or studying at a recognised South Africa institution
- Full-time undergraduate and Honours studies
- Achieved a minimum of 60% average
- Must not be a beneficiary of any other bursary
- Priority will be given to previously disadvantaged individuals
Required documents
Certified copies of the following documents must be attached to the application form:
- South Africa ID
- MATRIC certificate
- Academic record for students already in tertiary institution
- Acceptance letter into the university
- Parent/guardian proof of household income

Step 2: Select ‘New student profile’ to load your information, then create login details and register an account.
Step 3: A confirmation email will be sent to you
Step 4: Log in to the website with your details and apply.
Step 5: Upload all the required documents
Step 6: Upload your final academic results as soon as they become available and await feedback
