  • If you usually use your Facebook or Google account to sign into your NSFAS account, you need to re-register.
  • If you are studying in any NSFAS TVET Colleges, you must re-register for the government fund.
  • If you are asked to re-register on the login platform, there may be missing or incorrect information about you. At this point, you need to re-apply for NSFAS.

 

How To Reapply For NSFAS

Any beneficiary of the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) must re-apply for the aid scheme. The procedure to reapply is as follows;

  • Visit the NSFAS student portal, which is www.nsfas.org.za 
  • Click on the “myNSFAS” tab and press the “register” option.
  • Tick the box to proceed further and input your ID number.
  • After that, please enter your full name as it appears on your identity document.
  • Input your email address and then confirm.
  • Enter your phone number. Please ensure the number provided is correct so you can stay updated with information from NSFAS.
  • Create a unique password and confirm it.
  • Upload a copy of your identity document and click on the “register” option.
  • Once you click “Register,” an OTP will be sent to your email and phone number.
  • Lastly, enter the OTP and click on “Submit”. Your registration will be complete at this point.

Eligibility Criteria For Re-registration

The eligibility criteria for re-registration of NSFAS is the same as the regular registration. Below are the necessary things that an individual must meet. You can register if;

  • You were a South African.
  • You intend to study at any NSFAS TVET College or University.
  • Your entire household income is R350,000 or less.
  • You live with a disability, and your complete household income is R600,000 or less.
