To gain admission to a university in South Africa, there are some requirements you need to meet. APS (Admission Point Score) is one of the requirements used to give admission to students in South Africa. All institutions in South Africa has a way of calculating APS. WSU APS Calculation
To calculate your Admission Point Score, you will have to add your six best subjects in matric excluding Life Orientation. Students are advised to score high in matric to stand a better chance in the admission exercise. In each exam a student writes, a point is given but your point will depend on the percentage you score in the exam. The addition of your point in six matric subject is your APS.
Note: meeting the minimum APS requirement might not be enough to get you into your desired degree programme, so scoring high mark in your matric exam is the best option.
