Power Construction Bursary

Application is now open for students that want to apply for the Power Construction Bursary 2022/2023 academic session. This bursary is open to all South African students.

Power Construction is inviting all deserving students are therefore to apply for the 2022–2023 Bursary. Power Construction established a tertiary bursary fund to increase capacity, knowledge, and employment possibilities in the financial industry. It is geared toward undergraduate tertiary students.

This bursary fund has been set aside by Power Construction, particularly for the fields listed below.

POWER CONSTRUCTION BURSARY APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY 

Eligible courses:

BSc or BEng Civil Engineering

First-year and second years students studying at the University of Cape Town and Stellenbosch University will be given preference. Also, 1st years students in 2023 will also be considered to benefit from this funding.

BSc Quantity Surveying

Students in their 1st and 2nd year applying for BSc Quantity Surveying and are from the University of the Free State, the University of the Witswatersrand and The University of Cape Town will be given preference over other applicants. However 2023 1st year students will also be considered.

Candidate Requirements

  • Pre-screening, psychometrics and interviews will form part of the selection process.
  • Have a minimum Grade 12 Matric Certificate with University Acceptance (Mid-year results will be provisionally considered if currently studying)
  • Achieved a minimum of at least: English 5 (60%+), Mathematics 5(60%+) and Physical Science 5 (60%+)
  • If already at university, then a full academic progress report and financial statement.
  • Must be willing to work in outlying areas when studies are complete
  • Code 08 driver’s license by the time the studies are complete
  • Candidate from a designated group
  • Able to speak another South African official language

HOW TO APPLY FOR POWER CONSTRUCTION BURSARY

If you meet all the requirements above, kindly submit your application to [email protected]. You are to quote the reference number applicable to your field of study above, an application without a reference number will not be accepted.

Required Documents

Kindly attach the following documents: 

  • Concise 1-page CV with working telephone numbers and email addresses
  • Certified copies of ID
  • Matric certificate, and full academic progress report

If you did not receive any response after 30 days of the official closing day, consider your application unsuccessful.

CLOSING DATE

The closing date for the Power Construction Bursary is the 28th of October, 2022. No application will be accepted after the closing date.
