Brief Description

The Mozida Africa Excellence Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship that has been founded by the Mozida Foundation to encourage exceptional students who are leaders and change agents in their communities to pursue master’s degrees at Bolivian universities.

Benefits of the Mozida African Master Scholarship

The following are some of the benefits of the Mozida African Master Scholarship:

  • The full tuition fees will be covered by a fully funded scholarship.
  • All scholarship recipients will receive a monthly stipend of $1,600 for the course of their studies, as long as they meet the departmental CGPA criteria.
  • Shared accommodations for the same sex (married couples: one room, singles: two).
  • Reimbursement of the one-way economy ticket (only once) and the economy class return ticket to Bolivia.
  • 60% of the national health insurance, which includes annual health checkups
  • Every MS student taking part in a research project will be awarded a $1,000 research assistantship.
  • The chance to learn about Bolivian culture and attend one of the best universities in the country without having to worry about finances.

Eligibility

Candidates must fulfill the following criteria to be eligible for the Mozida Africa Excellence Scholarship:

  • Be a citizen of one of the 54 African nations and possess a current passport (or other valid form of identity).
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent) in any discipline from an accredited university.
  • Prepare to enroll in a master’s program at a Bolivian university that meets the requirements.
  • Candidates must not be the recipient of another scholarship from Bolivian University at this time.
  • If eligibility for the scholarship is not maintained, fulfill all financial obligations as a full-fee-paying international student, including the full tuition cost and additional expenses.
