Mbuyelo Coal Bursary 2022

Mbuyelo Coal Bursary 2022, is a bursary program for South Africans sponsored by  Mbuyelo Coal; which is a subsidiary of the Mbuyelo Group. They run their activities majorly in the coal mining industry as well as a growing portfolio in other businesses such as the properties, farming, and contracting industries.

Within the Mpumalanga province, Mbuyelo Coal has a rich vestige and it is majority black-owned.

The word ”Mbuyelo” has its origin from the word-”Xitsonga” which means ”returns” which drives the company with the fact that rewards or returns are gained from work or effort put in.

MBUYELO COAL BURSARY ELIGIBLE FIELD

For the 2022 academic year, Mbuyelo Coal bursary management is inviting applicants to apply for this bursary award.

Studies within the following fields will be given the bursary awards:

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Mining Engineering
  • Safety Management

 

RENEWAL & SELECTION FOR THE MBUYELO BURSARY

Dependent on (satisfactory) academic performance, the bursary is renewable each year. Within two months after the closing date, successful candidates will be contacted.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE MBUYELO COAL BURSARY

Applicants must meet the following minimum entry criteria before applying for the Mbuyelo coal bursary:

N.B: Failure to meet the following requirements will lead to your application not being considered.

  • Applicants must be South African citizens.
  • Applicants must have completed Matric or be currently in Matric.
  • Applicants must be studying or intend on studying towards a qualification in one of the fields listed above, in 2022.
  • Applicants must be studying or intend on studying at a recognized tertiary institution (University or the University of Technology) in South Africa.
  • Applicants must have a strong academic record.
  • Applicants must have achieved a minimum overall average of 60% in Matric, if currently in Matric.
  • Applicants must have achieved a minimum overall average of 60% for all major subjects at the tertiary level if currently studying.
  • Preference will be given to students who reside in any of these areas: Emakhazeni, Chief Albert Luthuli and Steve Tshwete Municipalities

HOW TO APPLY FOR THE MBUYELO COAL BURSARY

Applicants should download and complete the Mbuyelo Coal Bursary Application Form 2022 (.doc)

Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with your completed application form:

N.B: Compulsorily, all these documents must be submitted. Also, your application will not be considered if any of the items are missing.

  • ID document (certified copy).
  • Matric’s latest/ final results, if currently in Matric (certified copy) (note: awards will be finalised after receiving final National Senior Certificate results).
  • Proof of enrolment or provisional acceptance at University or the University of Technology (on institutions letterhead).
  • Full academic record, if currently studying (on institutions letterhead).
  • Proof of residence.
