Here is the formation on how students can access their North-West University, NMU Academic record. The process is applicable for both open distance learning student and full-time students.
The official academic record is an official document that contains student subjects studied, credit point, results, Grade Point Average (GPA) fo each semester and the overall CGPA for all the years of studies. Graduates will also find the date their award was given on the Academic record.
The North-West University (NWU) is one of the top South African university with three campuses at Mahikeng (Previously Mafikeng), Potchefstroom and Vanderbijlpark. The head office of the university is located in Potchefstroom. After its merger, the university made to the list of one of the large universities in South Africa with 64,081 full-time and distance learning students. Potchefstroom University for Christian Higher Education and the University of North-West (formerly the University of Bophuthatswana) is the institution that comes under one umbrella to form the NORTh-West University we know today. At that time, Potchefstroom University already has a branch in Vanderbijlpark.
HOW TO ACCESS NWU ACADEMIC RECORD
Below are the steps to follow to access your Academic Record:
- Open your browser and input the UODL’s website URL: http://distance.nwu.ac.za/help and Navigate to “Assessment Information” then click on “Academic Record”
- In the space provided, input your Username (Student No) and Password
- Click “Academic Record”
- Your information will then be displayed on the screen
- Enter a password in the required field and your academic record will display.

- Open your browser and go to http://distance.nwu.ac.za/help
- Click on “Student Access”
