SizweNtsalubaGobodo Bursary South Africa is a bursary funded by a firm named SizweNtsalubaGobodo. In 2011, the merger between Gobodo Incorporated and SizweNtsaluba (both were auditing firms) gave birth to SizweNtsalubaGobodo.

Gobodo Incorporated was a black chartered accountant firm that employed the first African black female chartered accountant in the country.

SizweNtsaluba VSP was established in 1985 and was an advisory and business consultancy firm. They offered advisory, auditing, and forensic services. The firm develops African leadership (its purpose), through a leadership legacy that aims to adapt to the African economic landscape.

ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED

Students who are interested in pursuing a career in Chartered Accountancy can apply for the SizweNtsalubaGobodo bursary program. Students must professionally conduct themselves, have an objective view, have great integrity, and excel technically.

Since the commencement of the bursary awards, SNG has assisted many black students in achieving their dreams of becoming Chartered Accountants.

The bursary award will cover the following expenses:

  • Accommodation
  • Student’s tuition fees
  • Prescribed textbooks

Aside from the studying costs it covers, students will be given the chance to participate in paid vacation work, as well as exams preparation mentorship, and portfolios set up.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR SIZWENTSALUBAGOBODO BURSARY SOUTH AFRICA

To apply for the SizweNtsalubaGobodo Bursary South Africa, applicants must fully meet the following minimum entry criteria:

  • Applicants must be South African citizens.
  • Applicants must currently be in Grade 11 or Matric year of study.
  • Applicants must have achieved a minimum of 60% in English and Mathematics.
  • Only those in need of financial assistance (previously disadvantaged individuals) can apply.
  • Only applicants with the intentions of becoming a Chartered Accountant (SA).

N.B: Applicants who fail to meet all the requirements, will have their applications not considered.

Applicants may be required to submit alongside their completed application form, clear copies of the following supporting documentation:

  • ID document (certified copy of).
  • Grade 11 latest results (if currently in Grade 11).
  • Matric’s latest results (if currently in Matric).
  • Motivational letter explaining why you deserve to be awarded a bursary.

N.B: Failure to submit any of these documents or missing any items, will lead to your application not being considered. It is compulsory.
