Apply for the South African Centre for Carbon Capture & Storage (SACCCS) bursary.

The South African Centre for Carbon Capture & Storage (SACCCS) was established in 2009 and is a South African National Energy Development Institute (SANEDI), which is owned by the Department of Energy.

The aim of SACCCS is to improve energy research and develop human capital availability in the country. The management of the South African Centre for Carbon Capture and Storage (SACCCS) call on all eligible students to apply for academic financial support.

The bursaries are available in for eligible students in Honours, Masters and Doctorate field of research-based studies and are subject to SACCCS bursary conditions failure to comply will result in the withdrawal of the bursary.

This Bursary is awarded to the recipient for a period of one year which can be renewed according to SACCCS decision based on the availability of funds and the grantee’s academic results.

SACCCS Bursary Requirements and Eligibility

Below are the bursary eligibility requirements:

  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Full-time student at the university/university of technology
  • Students that want to pursue a career in the fields related to Carbon Capture and Storage

    • ID
    • Matric certificate
    • Academic record
    • University/University of Technology proof of registration

Closing Date

There is no closing date for this bursary, it is open annually which means bursaries applications can be submitted throughout the year.
