Application is now open for Matric learners to apply for the University of Free State star of stars competition. The application form and process are available below.The University of Free state is calling on learners with top academic achievement and residing in the Free State province to apply for its star of stars competition. Interested applicants must have applied to study at the university before the closing date to qualify for the competition.

The competition will only accept entries from learners in Quintile 1 to 3 schools (Dinaledi, township, and rural schools) from the Motheo, Xhariep, Lejweleputswa, Thabo Mofutsanyana, and Fezile Dabi Districts.

Application Closing date: 31 August 2021.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be in Grade 12 and have applied at the University of the Free State (UFS) in 2022.
  • Good academic record
  • Your school principal’s signature and stamp MUST be on your application form to verify that all the information on the entry form is correct
  • Be a learner in Quintile 1 to 3 schools (Dinaledi, township, and rural schools) from the Motheo, Xhariep, Lejweleputswa, Thabo Mofutsanyana, and Fezile Dabi districts

How to Apply:

Download and completely fill the application form above correctly with your principal signature and school stamp and attach certified copies of your final Grade 11, Grade 12 March, and Grade 12 June results.
