Nelson Mandela University will hold its annual welcoming ceremony in the coming month. This is an event where the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sibongile Muthwa, addresses first-year students and their parents or guardians,
This year ceremony will be held virtually on 06 March 2021 which will be followed by the series of faculty introductory sessions, which will also be held virtually, as follows:

The orientation programme will also be virtual, which students will be able to join in via the First Year Success Orientation programme’s social media pages. Orientation will include activities for first-years to prepare them for various programmes and platforms for online learning and they develop some of the know-how and skills to engage with online learning.

March 5: Initial down payment for tuitions and accommodation fees due
March 5: Residence open for first-year students
March 5 – 12: Special first-year online registration which is opened already
March 6: Welcoming ceremony for freshers and parents/guardians
March 8 – 12: Freshers success orientation
March 15: Lectures starts with orientation going on
