International Hotel School Admission Requirements
Minimum entry requirement:
The following are the minimum admission requirements students are to meet to gain admission to study a course at the International Hotel School, South Africa.
- National Senior Certificate with a Diploma entry, or equivalent
- National Senior Certificate with a Bachelor entry, or equivalent. Students must be competent in Mathematics Literacy and English. For Bachelor of Business Administration
- Gr 10 pass or equivalent, a National Senior Certificate will be an added advantage. For professional courses in cookery and patisserie
The International Hotel School gives admission two times a year: February and July
International Students Admission Requirements
All non-South African students that want to study at the International Hotel School will first have to successfully obtain a study Visa from the South African Embassy or Consulate in their home country. The Visa regulations have changed in South Africa, you should note that you cannot apply for/change your Visa status within South Africa. International students are to present their study Visas at the point of registration.
- A valid passport and study permit.
- Full medical cover with a South African-based medical aid scheme.
- A proven ability to support themselves financially and to settle their fees.
Language requirement
The English Language is the mode of instruction and examination at the International Hotel School. All internationals whose second language is English are required to undergo and pass specific language tests set by the International Hotel School.
Tuition Fees
All international students are going to pay the same fee as South African Students just that they must pay their tuition fees in full before they can register. Most IHS program starts in February and July of every year. You are advised to start your application early because it takes time to comply with all the necessary requirements.
