These fellowships strengthen capacity building and facilitate access to the latest research techniques.

Aim and Benefits of Arturo Falaschi Short-term Postdoctoral Fellowships
Duration: one to six months
Monthly stipend: Cape Town, South Africa: ZAR 23,000; Trieste, Italy: Euro 2,000; New Delhi, India: US$ 1,590.
Travel: The fellowship covers travel costs for the participant to and from their home country to the ICGEB lab at the start of the fellowship as well as a reimbursement for return travel at the end of the fellowship.
Throughout the fellowship, there is reimbursement for medical expenses.
The application and renewal fees for visas and permits of stay are compensated.
The ICGEB is unable to offer any financial assistance or administrative help to program participants’ families.
Requirements for Arturo Falaschi Short-term Postdoctoral Fellowships Qualification
Candidates must be citizens of an ICGEB Member State. They are not eligible to apply for fellowships to be completed in their home country unless they have been employed abroad for the previous three years at the time of application.
Requirements for degrees: candidates should have completed their PhD in the life sciences within the last three years or hold a current PhD.
Under-35-year-old candidates are given preference.

Selection
All applications that are complete and submitted by the deadline will be assessed by the ICGEB Fellowships Selection Committee. The candidates will receive an email as soon as possible after the application deadline informing them of the results. The project’s scientific quality, the candidate’s resume, and the project’s potential benefits to the home nation are the primary selection criteria.

(i) Your complete CV;
(ii) A written statement from the group leader of ICGEB;
(iii) A valid form of identification, such as a passport or identity card. A minimum of 12 months should be the recommended passport validity.
(iv) An English certificate (such as the Cambridge TOEFL). When academic instruction is done in English, this document is not required.
