The management of the ArcelorMittal Bursary is calling on all eligible Engineering students to apply for the ongoing bursary programme. ArcelorMittal South Africa is formally known as Iscor Ltd in1928. It is one of the largest steel producers in the world.

The company supplies 60% of the steel used in South Africa making it the biggest steel producing company in South Africa and Africa at large. It produces 7 million tonnes of liquid steel each year. It has its headquarters in Gauteng, South Africa.

The company has industries across 60 countries throughout Africa, Asia, Europe, North and South America. They are major stakeholders in global markets including construction, automotive, packaging and household appliances.

  • Chemical Engineering,
  • Electrical Engineering,
  • Mechanical Engineering,
  • Metallurgical Engineering,
  • Information Technology.

ArcelorMittal Bursary Application Requirements

Below are the eligibility requirements applicants must meet up with to be eligible for the ArcelorMittal Bursary:

  • South African citizen
  • Currently in Matric OR completed Matric
  • Have a minimum of 70% for Mathematics and Physical Science in Grade 11
  • Achieved a minimum of 70% for Mathematics and Physical Science in Matric
  • Scored overall average of 60% for your remaining subjects in Matric
  • Meet the University requirements for your field of study
  • Applicants that want to study any one of the above fields of study
  • Intend on studying at a University approved by ArcelorMittal for the field of study

All applicants must submit a certified copy of the following documents that apply to them. Failure to submit all the required documents will make your application ineligible:

  • ID document
  • Grade 11 final results and recent Matric results, if currently in Matric
  • Matric certificate, for those that have completed Matric
