The portal for the 2020/2021 National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) is now open for all students that want to apply for bursary applications. All aspirants from any South African institution be it diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate level can now proceed to the bursary portal for application. The management of NSFAS has chosen a date for the NSFAS bursary registration, all applicants should take note. All applicants should apply on time as there is limited space for candidates.
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) is a South African government student financial aid scheme that is responsible for providing financial aid to poor undergraduate students. The scheme has helped many tertiary institution students in paying their fees. This financial aid scheme was established by the Department of Higher Education and Training. They are also in charge of bursaries like the Funza Lushaka Teacher Bursary (for students pursuing a teaching qualification), DHET Disability Bursary, and many other bursaries from the Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs).
A bursary is a monetary fund that is given to students from disadvantaged backgrounds to help them pay for their tertiary education. The bursary has helped many students pay for their undergraduate studies and postgraduate studies.
