Nkangala TVET College is one of top South Africa’s 50 public Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Colleges. The college operates under the supervision of the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET). It is one of the largest Technical and Vocational Education and Training service providers in the country, they specialise in priority skills development.
Nkangala TVET College was established in 2003 as a result of the merger of Witbank, Middelburg, Mpondozankomo, and CN Mahlangu campuses (formerly known as Technical Colleges) in Nkangala region. This happen after the adoptionof the FET Act of 1996 by Parliament in South Africa. In 2011, Waterval boven Campus was transferred from Ehlanzen FET College.
In Mpumalanga Province, Nkangala TVET College is the largest institution with CN Mahlangu and Waterval Boven serving as the predominantely rural.
