NDARC HDR Scholarships for International Students in Australia 2022/2023

The application for NDARC HDR Scholarships for International Students in Australia for 2022/2023 Entry is now open for students that are to study at the University of New South Wales in Australia.

This scholarship is available for international students that are outstanding in their studies to pursue a higher degree in the research program at the University of New South Wales in Australia. The educational grant has made a sum of $30,000 per annum available for students, exempt from tax. An additional amount of $10,000 is also available for professional development activities, and up to $5,000 is also available for candidates for another associated research cost.

The University of New South Wales is an Australian public university founded in1949. The university has international exchange and research partnerships with over 200 universities all over the world.

This scholarship is one of the best in the world and is aimed at helping students to fulfil their dream and also bringing about improvements in research.

NDARC HDR SCHOLARSHIPS ELIGIBILITY

Candidates are selected on the following criteria:

  • Overseas candidates of any nationality are eligible to apply.
  •  The opportunity is open for a PhD degree program on drug and alcohol-related projects that align with NDARC’s core work plan areas:
  • Prevention and early intervention.
  • Clinical research.
  • Physical and mental comorbidity.
  • Epidemiology of substance use and harms.
  • Justice health and drug policy.
  • Indigenous health.
  • Health economics and bio-statistics.
  • Family, communities, and society.
  • An applicant is a full or part-time student and also has knowledge of UNSW’s EEO/AA principles and policies.
  • Successful candidates are expected to enrol on the HDR program through the School of Public Health and Community Medicine (SPHCM) in the Faculty of Medicine.

NDARC HDR SCHOLARSHIPS APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

The application process has the following phases-

  • Phase 1- Firstly, students should check the enrollment requirements of an HDR program.
  • Phase 2- Interested participants are to take admitted to a PhD degree program at NDARC, UNSW.
  • Phase 3- After that, students should submit their award application form along with their Academic Transcripts (including an explanation of grading systems), English Proficiency documents (for LOTE applicants), Publications, Research Proposal, Proof of contact with the proposed supervisor, and CV to [email protected].
  • Phase 4- Successful candidates must be available for an interview on Friday morning, 15 November 2019.

The application must include:

  • The management of this scholarship will only consider applications that have been submitted (with the International Office and registered on the website of the scholarship) before November 10, 2019.
