UNESCO Job Vacancy 2023

The selected individual or firm will perform the following tasks:

  • AWS Management: Manage Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure, including EC2 instances, RDS databases, and other AWS components.
  • Software Updates: Regularly update the operating system, web server software, and any other software used on the AWS instances to ensure security and stability.
  • Backups: Create and maintain regular backups of all data and configurations stored in AWS to minimize the risk of data loss in the event of a disaster.
  • Security: Implement security measures to prevent unauthorized access to the AWS infrastructure and data.
  • Monitoring: Monitor AWS resource utilization and performance using monitoring tools to ensure that the infrastructure is functioning correctly and efficiently.
  • Auto-Scaling: Implement auto-scaling groups to ensure that the AWS infrastructure can dynamically scale based on demand.
  • Cost Optimization: Regularly monitor and optimize AWS costs, including monitoring and modifying EC2 instance types, RDS instance types, and other AWS services.
  • Disaster Recovery Planning: Develop and implement a disaster recovery plan using AWS services such as Amazon S3 and Amazon RDS Snapshots to ensure that the infrastructure can be quickly restored in the event of a disaster.

Qualification:

  • Minimum three years’ experience in managing AWS infrastructure and associated services
  • Strong knowledge of web server software, operating systems, and security best practices
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, and RDS
  • Ability to optimize AWS resources for cost and performance
  • Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and implementation
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Proven experience in managing AWS infrastructure for multiple clients
  • A team of experienced AWS specialists with relevant certifications
  • Strong track record of delivering secure and highly available AWS solutions
  • Knowledge of industry best practices for AWS security, performance, and cost optimization
  • Ability to provide 24×7 support and maintenance services
  • A clear understanding of project management methodologies and experience in delivering projects on-time and within budget
  • Valid business registration certificate and a current bank confirmation letter.
