SANDRAL
The South African National Roads Agency Limited (SANDRAL) is a state-owned enterprise whose responsibilities include managing and developing the National Road network in the country.
This agency, which the Minister of Transport represents, is the sole sponsor of the high school scholarship.
SANDRAL High School Scholarships 2024/2025
SANDRAL is inviting high school students to apply for its high school scholarship for the 2024/2025 academic year. This award will be issued to those students looking to enroll in high school (grade 8 to grade 12). Selection will be mainly based on academic excellence and financial needs in line with the agency’s bursary policy.
Scholarship Coverage
The SANDRAL high school scholarship has its coverage, which beneficiaries of the scheme will enjoy. The scholarship covers one school fee, boarding expenses, uniform (school and sports), books and stationery, and lessons in mathematics and science, amongst others.
Note that;
- The tuition fees will be paid to the school where you enroll after receiving the fee statement.
- Other fees will be given to the parent or guardian of the student after the original proof of payment has been received.
Those who receive the scholarship will also receive the following benefits;
- Support, which includes career information and guidance.
- Counseling, career coaching, more classes, and exam preparation.
Eligibility Requirement
The SANDRAL high school scholarship has some requirements that students must fulfill to partake in the financial scheme. They include;
- An individual must be a South African citizen.
- An individual must be registered to study in an endorsed South African high school.
- An individual applying for the scholarship must have an excellent academic record.
- An individual must intend to enroll in a high school (grade 8, grade 9, grade 10, grade 12, or grade 12).
- An individual must have reached a minimum overall average of 60%.
- Your household income must be less than R550,000 per annum.
Documents To Be Submitted
While applying for the SANDRAL high school scholarship, there are documents that you must submit. These documents include;
- Birth certificate or ID document.
- A motivation letter written by the applicant (it must be up to two pages stating why you deserve the scholarship and about yourself).
- A motivational letter written by your school principal to support your application.
- A motivational letter written by your parents or guardian supporting your application for the scholarship.
- A certified copy of your June 2024 academic results.
- Proof of income of either your parents or guardian (recent slips of not older than three months).
- Proof of residence of your parents or guardian (electricity or water bill).
- Certified copies of your parents or guardian’s ID documents.
